The final divisional averages have been published and they reflect what an excellent season the club had, with many strivers featuring high up in the bowling and batting stakes.
The standout performer of the season is Robert Sibley, who was the best bowler in the highest division the club has ever played in. Superb shows from Rhys Carter (3rd), Bradley Lane (4th) and Jack Bloxham (10th) prove we had by far the best bowling attack in Division 1.
In the batting stakes Chris Whitworth ranked 10th, opening partner Rhys Carter 13th and strengthening middle order pals Chris Palmer and Ralph Lane also feature.
The 2’s best bowler Robinson Thiruchelvam was the 16th best bowler in Division 7a, whilst also being the 4th best batsman, with captain Umair Atta in a creditable 13th place in the batting pecking order.
For the 3’s the opening bowling pair (when both available) of Shaun Flook and Robert Hatrell took 3rd and 4th, with senior pro John Nelson in 10th. In the batting stakes Naman scored the most runs but came 3rd on the average, with captain Ian Tyler 10th and young Alan Hunter 12th.
Congratulations to all who feature here but also to every striver out there who contributed to such a successful season!
